The Leggings That Ruined Me.

I found leggings.  Great leggings.  Leggings that have ruined me for ever wanting to wear normal pants again. They are THAT good.  They are "buttery" soft (honestly a word I used to laugh about but now I totally get it), not shiny, not see through, just plain awesome, and I can't stop wearing them.  And no, they're not the popular pop-up-shop brand you're probably all thinking of, but they're just as good and half the price.  Under $12 girls.  As my son would say, BAM.  I've been on a quest to find as may ways as possible to style them so that I can wear them like pants because like I said, I don't ever want to wear real pants again.  So here you go, four ways I've been wearing the leggings that have ruined me, including affiliate links so you can shop the looks.

Oh and before we get started, if you're on Facebook make sure you join me over at Name Brands for Less!  and also over on Stitch Fix Brand Shoes!  for all sorts of fun finds at sale prices! Ok, now let's go!

shirt // vest // leggings // boots // watch
My plain black leggings have been getting a serious workout and they've held up wear after wear and wash after wash.  I'm wearing and washing so much I need to invest in several other pairs of plain black just so I don't have to do laundry quite so often!  I paired them here with a long plaid shirt that's a true flannel material, comes in about a million colors, and bonus, it's under $20 (it runs a little small, consider sizing up).  I added my new herringbone vest that's super warm and great quality.  It's also on sale right now for under $30.  And my Carlos ankle boots that pair great with the leggings and are a steal for under $50 in most sizes.

poncho // striped shirt // leggings // booties // watch
Can you really beat pairing a poncho with leggings?  No.  I don't think so.  This one is super comfy, I love the cowl neck and each side has a cute little button.  The quality is awesome (it should be, it's one of the brands Stitch Fix now carries) and it has pocket...I love pockets.  This one was a little long for my liking (remember I'm only 5'0") so I sadly sent it back, but now I'm on the hunt for something similar that will work for a petite.  If you're blessed with a little more height than I am, this poncho will work great for you.  I put my favorite top underneath so that the striped sleeves would show and love how it paired together.

buckle sweater // leggings // boots // purse
These leggings are from the same listing, they have lots of prints and rotate them according to seasons I've noticed.  These are called the Bronze Floral and I believe they're sold out although they may be back in stock now.  I paired them with this amazingly soft and ridiculously warm Napa Valley buckle sweater in the "winter garden" color and it's on sale right now for under $35! It runs big, consider sizing down, I'm wearing the sm/med.  Added my FRYE riding boots which are still on major sale and my new favorite purse.

top // necklace // leggings // flats
And finally, this top was MADE for leggings (ok maybe not really but it pairs pretty darn perfectly).  It comes in 9 color/fabric options and is TTS (I'm wearing the black marled size small). It's currently $18-$26 (list price $60). The cut of this is so flattering because it flares out a bit at the bottom so it gives you a waistline and it's nice and long so it covers everything you want covered when you're wearing leggings.  It is a bit sheer in the light so I recommend a cami underneath, these are my faves. I will definitely be stocking up on these... my next one will be in the pink!

So there it is.... four looks with leggings.  What do you like to pair with leggings?  Drop me a line in the comments and be sure to come join me over at Name Brand for Less! and  Stitch Fix Brand Shoes!  over on Facebook if you haven't already.  See you there!

  1. I have a question. I am between a size 12 and 14. What size Viv legging would you recommend? I can't seem to find a size chart.

    1. Sounds like you might be able to do either. The VIV's I listed above fit sizes 0-12, and the Plus size VIVs fit sizes 14-24. I would get whatever you think you'd be most comfortable in! Here's the like to the plus size for you http://amzn.to/2fhhhkJ

  2. All these leggings are super classy and so attractive plus the colors and the prints are so beautiful too, and they are reasonable too. Will buy some of them soon.
