Field Trip Fashion... Yeah, it's a thing.

What is it with Fall and kids field trips?  In the past week and a half I chaperoned three field trips in a row and volunteered at two Halloween parties to boot.  I had a blast hanging out with all the super cool preschoolers and kindergartners, but you want to know what I was really doing during all that chaperoning?  Checking out the other moms clothes.  I can't help it.  I start chatting up one mom and the next thing I know I'm staring at her shoes or her purse while she's talking.  I really hope no one noticed.  And does anyone else plan out their own outfits for their kids school activities?  No?  Well I totally did and I can't even deny it.  You know you're wondering what I wore.  Here you go friends, all the outfit details complete with affiliate links so you can shop the looks.  Happy Friday!

Oh and before we get started, if you're on Facebook make sure you join me over on Name Brands for Less! and also on Stitch Fix Brand Shoes!  We have lots of fun over there.  Ok, now lets go!

Field Trip #1:
sweater // tank // jeans // shoes // purse
This Cowl Neck Sweater is soooo comfy! I love something that you can just throw on with a tank or tee and jeans and automatically look pulled together. It is attached at the shoulder, so it required no fussing with. It's oversized and roomy and the back is longer than the front so it covers the bum. It runs a little big so you might want to consider sizing down, but if you want it on the roomy side like I'm wearing it, go with your regular size (I'm wearing a small). On sale for $36.  I paired it with my Just Black jeans from my last Stitch Fix box (I still need to reveal that one!), my floral flats, and my new favorite purse (I'm not going to lie, it's pricey but it's soooo worth it).

 Field Trip #2:
vest // necklace // jeans // purse // booties
I have always thought sweater vests looked so cool and and comfy and stylish but never found one that I really liked... until now.  This one is a great length, it's nice and thick and chunky, it comes in five great colors and it's on sale for under $40.  It's true to size, I'm wearing the small in the beige and it's just plain awesome.  Believe it or not, the top underneath is an old maternity top from Target (I like it for the length) and I paired it with my Tree of Life pendant (these would make great Christmas gifts!), my Just Black skinnies from Stitch Fix, my fave new purse, and my Steve Madden booties that are comfy enough to wear on a walking field trip (and bonus, they're currently on sale).

Field Trip #3
vest // top // leggings // boots // watch
This is my new favorite outfit.  I wish I could wear this every day, but that would probably be weird.  You guys, this vest/shawl from Look by M is everything.  I love how versatile it is and just by flipping it upside down and pulling the shoulders down it changes the look completely.  I chose to wear mine like a vest rather than a shawl but when it did get a little cooler in the shade I was able to quick pull down some fabric over my shoulders and it was so nice!  This comes in 6 colors for $31.50 (unfortunately the blush that I'm wearing is already sold out) and is one size.  I paired it with this top in "Full of Petals (pink)"  my awesome leggings that are just as soft as my LuLaRoe's and come in about a million different colors and patterns, and my favorite FRYE boots (which are currently on MAJOR sale).

So there it is, my three field trip looks.  Which one was your favorite?  Coolest mom in town?  Probably not, but at least I felt good in what I was wearing and to me, that's everything.  Happy weekend all!

And don't forget to join me on Facebook be over at Name Brand for Less! and also on Stitch Fix Brand Shoes!  There's some serious fun going on over there!
