Stitch Fix Review (#4) May 2016 - I Kept It All!

My May Stitch Fix just arrived and I am blown away with all the prettiness in this box! Hands down my best fix yet! I can't say enough good things about this service. Not only does Stitch Fix deliver 5 beautiful clothing items hand-picked by my stylist (Kate, who I think is super awesome and want to be BFFs with) based specifically on my style and body type, but it also has made me really appreciate the quality, fit, and structure of clothes again, and has made me take more effort in putting outfits and accessories together the way I used to (you know, before the kiddos came along)!

When I first started with this service I was hesitant and vowed to myself that if I was going to do this I would share my reviews honestly in an effort to help others discover if this service would be a good fit for them.  It still feels ridiculously uncomfortable to take pictures of myself and share them (I am not a selfie person in any way, shape, or form) but seeing the way that my reviews are helping others to see the variety of clothes Stitch Fix offers, the way they fit, and how they can be styled has been such a positive (and super fun!) experience.  Not to mention it helps me decide what to keep and what to send back! I love seeing other peoples fixes and hearing stories about friends experiences with Stitch Fix!  If you're not familiar with Stitch Fix yet, you can read more about it in my first review or visit stitchfix.com (And if you use any of the links throughout this post I'll get a small commission and love you forever!)

Ok, onto the good stuff!  For this month I was pretty vague with my requests.  I asked my stylist for bright colors and more casual summer vacation pieces.  When I first peeked at my box I knew it was going to be a good one!  Spoiler alert, I kept it all (sort of)!

Gilli: Mitchel Knit Maxi Dress (XSP)
Stitch Fix Review May 2016
Details: Oh this dress! I've seen this dress pinned all over the place so it's definitely one of the more popular maxi dresses that Stitch Fix offers. It's so perfectly my style with my love of stripes and navy and it has a cute little cutout in the back that's not overly revealing but just a little something to make it interesting!  I also love the fact that you can wear a bra with this (although, you can't wear Spanx as they'd show through the opening in the back!) and it's ridiculously comfortable. Hubs thought this was a major winner and says it's a definite keeper (he's still sad over the first maxi I sent back).  I love that I'm 5'0" and can wear this maxi with flats (usually that's impossible!) I actually wore this straight out of the box yesterday (with a jean jacket) to my daughter's preschool play and I got SO many compliments on it and questions about where I got it (I may have convinced a few moms to try out Stitch Fix!)
Verdict: Keep!

Pixley: Curran Split Neck Blouse (XS)

Details: I had a minor freak out with excitement moment when I saw this blouse was coming!  I mean come on, navy with big white preppy polka dots all over it?  This one was totally screaming my name. I had pinned it on my Pinterest board and Kate took notice.  According to her note, she almost jumped for joy too when she was able to snag it for me!  Thank you Kate, I'm in love!  The fit is awesome, I love the split neck and I'm totally wearing this on our upcoming cruise... maybe even on the first day!
Verdict: Obviously a Keep!

Mavi: Rubinelli Button Down Top (XS)

Details:  This blouse is so sweet.  I am in serious need of more shirts with short sleeves (all my summer tops tend to be tanks) and these were the perfect length for me.  I love the pretty lace detailing down the sides and there's also lace going down the center of the back as well, which is really beautiful.  The material is great as it won't need much ironing (always important!) and this will obviously go with anything.  A definite winner!
Verdict:  Keep!

Loveappella: Clira Side Embroidery Knit Top (XS)

Details:  I was immediately drawn to the color of this top.  I specifically requested to see something pink in this fix and Kate delivered!   I also requested casual and this definitely fit the bill.  It had pretty little black and white embroidery going down the sides and I put it on with my Kut From the Kloth distressed boyfriend jeans from Fix #1 (still my most favorite pair of jeans ever) and the two definitely paired well together!  I could see myself wearing this over and over but the top was a little long for my preference and I just wasn't completely in love.  But, since I loved everything else in my fix I decided to hang on to this one (it wound up being cheaper to keep it and get the 25% discount) so I already posted this on the Buy/Sell/Trade facebook page and it sold in less than 30 minutes and will be shipped out today (thanks Abbie!)
Verdict: Keep (but sold to another Stitch Fix lover)

Collective Concepts: Myrah Printed Short (S)
Stitch Fix Review May 2016

Details:  In my last fix note, I told my stylist that I had just gotten a few pairs of shorts so I wasn't in need of bottoms.  Kate remembered that but she said when she saw these shorts she couldn't help but to grab them as she's been wanting to get some florals for me and she just couldn't let these get away.  This is why I love my stylist.  These are the shorts I never knew I always wanted.  They are perfect in every way.  They are comfortable, beautiful, dressy, the perfect length, and get this, they don't even have buttons or a zipper.  In one word, AMAZING.  She suggested that I pair them with the coral Rory Strappy Back top I kept from Fix #3 and it's like these two items were made for each other.  Honestly, pictures don't even do these shorts justice, they are so pretty in person.  I will definitely be wearing this look on our upcoming cruise!
Verdict:  Keep!

Final Thoughts:  This fix blew me away.  Hands down it was my best fix yet and the first time I kept (sort of) everything!  I now have four complete outfits add to my suitcase and I feel like I'm finally ready for our cruise!  We have so much coming up in the next month and a half and Stitch Fix has really helped get me ready for everything!  I will be taking a little break from fixes for a while (my sister is calling BS on that one!) but I'm going to try and wait to schedule my next fix for my birthday at the end of July... because it's always fun to get surprises on your birthday, right?

So let me know what you think about this fix!  Did I make the right choice in keeping it all? What would you have kept?  Let me know in the comments, I love to hear from you!  And if you're ready to schedule your first fix, head on over to stitchfix.com!
