Stitch Fix Review (#3) April 2016 (second box!)

Spring tops and dresses, bright colors, fun prints, striped dress
First some fun news... the new blog has been approved and I've officially been deemed a Stitch Fix Influencer!  How cool is that?!  So what does that mean?  Basically I get to continue sharing all my fun fixes with you and if you choose to sign up or purchase a gift card I'll get a small commission if you simply use the links found through this blog (thank you!).  I'm loving this service and I'm so glad these posts are helping others. So, thanks for reading!

Ok, onto the goods. I requested a second Stitch Fix in April for a couple reasons (1) I only kept one item from my first April fix (2) we are insanely busy in May with lots of fun events so mama needs clothes and (3) I still had credits left from those who signed up using my affiliate link (thank you, you guys rock!)  So... this time around I asked my stylist for bright colorful tops and any pieces that would work well for the cruise we're going on next month (yes, we're going on a Disney Cruise for our 10 year anniversary!  Shh... don't tell our kids, it's a surprise!)  I have to say, this has been one of my most interesting fixes yet, and I could REALLY use your help in figuring out what to keep and what to send back!  Let's take a peek! Oh, and if you don't know about this amazing service yet, definitely go check it out at stitchfix.com :)

Skies are Blue: Rorik Strappy Back Top (XS)
bright spring sleeveless top
similar jeans, shoes, shoes (similar), watch
bright spring sleveeless blouse
Details: I asked for bright colors and this top delivered!  This is the most beautiful and vibrant orange/red and I LOVE the pretty lace detailing that goes down the front and is on the shoulders as well (sorry my hair covered it up).  As in the name of the top, it has a strappy crisscross back that's super feminine.  I don't think I could love this top anymore.
Verdict: Keep!

Margaret M: Mazie Mini Aline Skirt (S)

bright spring sleeveless blouse
shoes, shoes (similar), watch
Details: Ok, I have to admit, I really didn't even want to try this one on.  The pattern is nothing I would ever gravitate towards and I don't normally wear skirts, but Stitch Fix says try everything on, and I'm SO glad I did... it is literally the most comfortable item of clothing I've ever worn!  No joke. My stylist suggested pairing it with the Rorik Strappy Back Top for a pop of color and was dead on as these two pieces look AMAZING together. Now I don't know what to do... I need your help on this one!
Verdict: Undecided  Return- holding out for another skirt with a pattern that's more my style!

Olive & Oak: Stewart Button Back Top (XSP)

Details:  I pinned a white shirt with pretty detailing on my pinterest board so I completely get why my stylist sent this top.  This has the most beautiful crochet detail at the top, a subtle grid pattern, and delicate buttons down the back... however, I couldn't get the darn buttons open which made this top very challenging to try on!  While this top is super pretty and the cut is great, I have one problem... can you guess it?  Wrinkles.  This shirt would need serious ironing and I'm just too busy chasing kids around for that.  I need to put in my profile that I need easy to care for fabrics.  It did look super cute with the Mazie skirt though (also a suggested pairing by my stylist)!
Verdict: Return

Market & Spruce: Carl Ruched Knit Dress (S)
nautical dress spring dress summer dress
shoes, shoes (similar), watch, necklace
Details: I was SOOO excited to see a striped dress!  I have a serious weakness for stripes (and polka dots as you know) so I automatically thought this would be the winner of the entire fix.  I couldn't wait to try it on.  The length is perfect for my 5ft. frame and it was super comfortable on.  The fabric is great but does it look too big?  It feels a little big, maybe it's just all that fabric with the ruching in the front?  Ugh, I can't decide.  Help me out here.
Verdict: Undecided  Return- in the end it was just too much fabric for my frame

Papermoon Wiliam Blouse (XSP)
bright colored spring summer top
similar jeans, shoes, shoes (similar), watch, necklace

bright colored spring summer top mint coral cobalt
watch, necklace
Details:  If ever there was a perfect top for me, this is it.  Stripes, as you know, are my weakness and it can easily be dressed up or down and thrown on with anything.  I love the colors, love that it's easy maintenance fabric, it's a little longer in the back than the front... perfect. I will definitely be wearing this all Spring/Summer long.  (This is sheer so it does need a cami underneath).
Verdict: Keep!

Ok, so help me out here!  What do you think about the skirt and the dress?  Keep?  Return?  What would you keep?  I need feedback!  Leave me a note in the comments, I'm really struggling on this one!  And remember if you haven't signed up for this awesome service yet, go check it out at stitchfix.com and be sure to check out my first April 2016 Review and my March 2016 Review!

PS- Don't forget, Mother's Day is less than a month away!  If you're looking for the perfect gift for your mom (or wife) give her the gift of her own personal stylist with a Stitch Fix gift card! It's probably something she'd never do for herself and let's face it, it's so darn fun when that little box arrives at your doorstep!  Remember to help her sign up using your referral code and you'll get $25 off your next fix too!  Greatest gift ever.  You're welcome.

    1. I think my main problem is the ruching in the front. An XS would definitely be better but I don't know if it would help the way I'm feeling about the extra fabric? This is a tough one, thanks for your input!!!

    4. I'll say hey if I see you! I may recognize you by your outfits ha. I think I need to request Kate as my stylist for Stitchfix as I like all your items. Your May box-oh my gosh!! The May box I just received was meh. I requested a previous stylist but got someone new (again) so kind of disappointed unfortunately. Anyway, hope to see you in 9 days and counting!!

  4. Oh wow, you had such a lovely fix! I see that you tried to link up on Crazy Together, but your blog didn't display in the linky. You need to include a link back to my post and include the graphic for the link up in your post. If you want to make those changes and resubmit, it should go through.
